GFI Drywall, Inc. takes time to give back to their community. GFI knows the value in community service; therefore, they spend time and money to aid those without homes, children fighting disease, and families of veterans off at war.  We would like you to take the time to browse our community service page to see what we do behind the scene to help out others in need.

  • Supporting Our Troops

    GFI Drywall Services, Inc. does not forget about those abroad fighting for our freedom. The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve named GFI, Inc. a Patriotic Employer.  Don’t forget to thank our troops!

  • Boy Scouts of America

    Bill Cowin attended the annual Boy Scouts of America “Friends of Scouting” breakfast this year as a guest at a table hosted by Brad Green.  GFI Drywall Services has been an annual donator for the last couple of years and will continue their support in the future for this wonderful cause.

  • Maple Valley Bombers

    GFI Drywall Services, Inc. is a sponsor the Maple Valley Bombers baseball team. They are currently playing Maple Valley league ball and have been scoring 25 to 45 runs per game, while holding their opponents to less than 4 runs. The team is preparing for summer tournaments that will start in late June and go until the end of July.   • Habitat for Humanity

    Bill Cowin, President of GIF Drywall Services, Inc. puts forth tremendous effort when it comes to giving back to the community.  Bill has been a table captain for the annual Habitat for Humanity East King Country Breakfast for the past three years. During those three years, the breakfast has raised over a million dollars with event and future pledges.   In the current year, Bill’s table raised over $4,000 with the help of its table members from local companies including, Drywall Distributors, Comprehensive Wealth Management and Conover Insurance.

    Furthermore, GFI Drywall Services, Inc. has been an in-kind donor for the past several years and during that time has helped build over 30 homes by donating materials, labor and monetary support. Ketchikan plans to continue their support of local habitat homes in the years to come.

  • A Home for Matthew

    GFI Drywall Services, Inc. received a 2009 excellence in construction medal for the specialty community service project on the Garries Residence.  Ketchikan Drywall Services, Inc., incooperation with S.D. Deacon and ABCE Builders of Washington, donated labor and materials to help a family who has had to deal with having a family member struggle with Mitochondrial Neuro-Degenerative Disorder. The upgrades to Matthew’s home  have mobilized him to be able to move throughout his home, making it much easier on Matthew and his family members. 

  • Camp Korey

    Bill Cowin was a member of Brad Green’s table at the Camp Korey Benefit Luncheon. Camp Korey is a medically supervised camp staffed with physicians and nurses for children suffering from serious and life threatening illnesses. The camp provides a week-long experience filled with camp programs and activities for children ages 7-16 at no cost to them. Camp Korey has had continued success due to the generous contributions from supports, such as GFI Drywall Services, Inc. For more information on how you can help, please visit www.campkorey.org.

  • Outdoor for All

    The charity, Outdoors for All, started by helping kids with disabilities learn how to do winter sports, such as downhill ski, snowboard, and snowshoe. Now, they are also actively involved in helping kids cycle, hike, in-line skate, river raft, canoe, kayak, rock climb and host day camps full of activities. Each year more than 2,000 children and adults with disabilities exercise their abilities to the training and support of more than 600 volunteers. GFI helps sponsored this program with generous contributions and helps out at the annual golf tournament.

  • Mountain River Youth Ranch

    Mountain River Youth Ranch is known as the ranch of hope as two hearts meet. GFI donated money to Mountain River Ranch so every child can have the same opportunity to go to the ranch and experience love and care through the horses while working alongside the ranch caretakers. It is important for every child to have the same advantages in life and GFI realizes that.

  • Duck Dash

    The Conover Insurance contribution helped save nearly 3,000 duck adoptions. The money raised from adopting the ducks supports college scholarships, warm coats for kids, feeding the hungry, high school DECA, and exchange students.

  • Salvation Army

    GFI Drywall Services, Inc. was able to take part in helping remodel the Salvation Army’s Housing Facility for those less fortunate. Robert De Lappe, Executive Board Member at The Salvation Army wrote a letter saying:

    “Thank you for the excellent work done by your crew. Your generosity and workmanship are key to The Salvation Army’s work and we appreciate your commitment and participation with us.”

  • Rebuilding Together South Sound

    Rebuilding Together South Sound gave GFI Drywall Services, Inc. a chance to be a part of the rehabilitating process of twenty-seven homes, including one nonprofit.  Thank you Rebuilding Together South Sound for your efforts!
